The 12th Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB intends to award a contract on a Sole-Source basis for the purchase of items listed in the Description of Supplies. This is a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being accepted and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24. The NAICS Code is 443112; size standard $8 million. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A Firm Fixed Priced Award will be in accordance with the Description of Supplies: SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION: Sound Distributors, Inc. has been the sole provider of services and equipment for the Officer?s Club Audio System. They are familiar with the facilities, the idiosyncrasies involved, and the configuration of current systems utilized at the Officer?s Club and Enlisted Club. The standardization of systems between the clubs are a huge benefit in terms of personnel training requirements and preventive measures used to avoid damages that may be caused by equipment failure, technical problems, or operator error. It is cost prohibitive to reprocure new audio systems for all locations affected by this upgrade. In addition, acquiring an upgrade from a different vendor would negate existing warranties, complicate systems configuration, and possibly introduce technical problems. CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Evaluation procedures in FAR Part 13.106-2 will be utilized. Interested parties capable of providing the above must submit a written price quote to include discount terms, Cage Code, DUNS number, and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this solicitation, contractor must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. To register, visit http://www.ccr.gov. Responses to this notice shall be provided in writing via email to: Gerardo C. Martinez: Gerardo.Martinez@RANDOLPH.AF.MIL no later than 1:00 PM CST on 14 March 2008.
