Full Description

The Port Hueneme Division Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC PHD) Port Hueneme, CA as In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), intends to issue a Cost Plus Fixed Fee /Firm Fixed Price hybrid contract on a sole source basis to Northrup Grumman Corporation in Mellville, New York to evaluate and repair malfunctioning parts and to procure parts for Initial Outfitting and Installation and Check-out (INCO) Kits to support installations and fleet support of the Radar Set AN/SPQ-9B for the current Transmitter Upgrade Program (TUP). Initial Outfitting requirement will provide current and out year support until Material Support Date (MSD) of October 07 has been met. Radar Set AN/SPQ-9B was designed and manufactured by Northrop Grumman Corporation who owns and holds all drawings, parts lists, and processes. Northrop Grumman Corporation designed and built all of the replaceable parts for Radar Set AN/SPQ-9B. Northrup Grumman is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and procurement from the OEM, who holds the rights to the drawings for these parts, is necessary to satisfy the operational compatibility requirements of AN/SPQ-9B radar system. Period of Performance is anticipated to be from date of award for a one-year base period, with a possibility of 4 one-year option periods. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or about 2 November 2005.
