Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8, Network Contracting office located in Tampa FL intends to negotiate a sole source consolidated award with SkyBase Communications, 1706-D NE Capital Circle, Tallahassee, Florida 32308, a Small Business for the purchase of twenty-two (22) SkyBase G2 Mobile Satellite (MSAT) 2-way push to talk (PTT) custom built systems being purchased for the Veterans Administration (VA) Security Police forces for VISN 8 to include Miami, Gainesville, Lake City, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Bay Pines, San Juan, PR and Lee Country VA Healthcare Center. This anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, one-time purchase. The government plans to solicit and make an award for this requirement to only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253(1). NAICS 517919 - Size Standard $30M This is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than 12:00 PM (noon) EST, June 25, 2014. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
