The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to award a sole source contract modification to Lockheed Martin, Maritime Systems and Sensors, to increase the ceiling on an existing development contract for AN/UYQ-70(V) Advanced Display Systems. Lockheed Martin is uniquely positioned as the sole designer, manufacturer, and integrator of this system, making open competition infeasible due to potential program delays and increased costs. The contract covers a broad range of activities including design, integration, testing, qualification, productization, integrated logistics support, and field support for new or modified variants of AN/UYQ-70 products. This synopsis is posted on both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) site and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site, with FBO being the primary platform and NECO as an alternative to ensure accessibility. The notice is informational and not a solicitation or request for proposal. The effort supports the ongoing development and sustainment of advanced display systems critical to naval operations, emphasizing the importance of continuity and specialized expertise that only the current contractor can provide.
