The U.S. Customs and Border Protection plans to modify an existing delivery order with Northrop Grumman Information Technology to incorporate a limited quantity of license plate reading equipment and related ancillary devices. This addition is intended to enhance compatibility with the current systems deployed at Ports of Entry and to ensure seamless connectivity with a CBP database. The modification aims to enable the procurement and installation of Network Video Platform (NVP) equipment designed to replace outdated readers and retrofit kits, thereby avoiding installation delays and addressing an interim need before a larger system-wide contract can be negotiated. The retrofit kits include customized replacement computer part assemblies for system components no longer in production. This action will cover new equipment or interim retrofits for approximately 15 to 20 inspection lanes across various Customs Ports of Entry. The notice emphasizes that this is not a solicitation for competitive proposals and requests no telephone inquiries. The procurement falls under the Department of Homeland Security’s Fletc Glynco Procurement Office and is related to NAICS code 518210. The focus is on maintaining operational capability at the inspection points while bridging procurement timelines until a comprehensive contract can be established.
