Full Description

This notice is to serve as a Presolicitation Notice to procure Digital Swallowing Workstations 7200 Model under FAR Part 12, "Acquisition of Commercial Items", FAR Part 13, "Simplified Acquisition Procedures" and FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Award will be made to Kaypentax, who is the only known vendor that design, assembles, tests, sell and service all instruments associated with the Swallowing Workstation model 7200. The equipment must be able to perform multiple functions in the various aspects of evaluation and intervention of Deglutition Disorders such as the Video fluoroscopic swallowing study (VFSS), Fiber optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) and a Swallowing Signals Lab. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must be received by September 12, 2011.
