The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 15 Contracting Office, plans to award a sole-source contract to Alliant Healthcare Products for a comprehensive endoscopy system designed for the Hybrid OR Endovascular Surgical Suite at the Columbia VA Medical Center. This procurement is conducted under the Veterans First Contracting Program, utilizing statutory authority for other than full and open competition. The system includes integration of communication devices, surgical booms, LED surgical lights, endoscopy towers, and video systems to enable seamless interaction between the surgical suite and other areas such as pathology, ICU, and other operating rooms through a centralized touchscreen interface that is compatible with existing Stryker equipment. Key components of the system encompass custom-designed articulating ceiling booms equipped to handle various gases and electrical connections, multiple flat panel arms, and advanced wireless communication capabilities that allow device control from sterile fields. The LED surgical lights offer high illumination intensity, maneuverability, heat dissipation, and voice activation, ensuring optimal surgical lighting conditions. The video system features high-definition cameras with significant zoom capabilities, digital recording options, and large LCD monitors. Additionally, an integrated smoke evacuator with a long-life brushless motor and multiple operating modes will help maintain optimal air quality during procedures. Installation services are included, and the VA is accepting written capability statements from other vendors by a specified deadline, though this is not a solicitation for competitive bids.
