Full Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity-8, in support of James A. Haley Veterans Hospital intends to negotiate a noncompetitive award under Request for Proposal number VA-248-11-RP-0240, with MAQUET Cardiovascular LLC, to provide fiber optic CS300 intra aortic balloon pumps for the James A Haley, Veterans Hospital, located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612. This procurement is a sole source award pursuant to authority of sections FAR 6.302-1. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with all terms and conditions of the solicitation. The NAICS code assigned to this acquisition is 423450 and the size standard is $12.8M. Product Information: Contractor must provide an intra aortic balloon bump equal to Maquet’s CS300 IABP and Sensation 7 Fr. Fiber-optic IAB catheter. The balloon bump must be compatible with Maquet’s counterpulsation therapy System 98XT. Product salient characteristics include: • Utilize fiber-optic speed • Fiber-optic signal must be immune to artifact • Possess automatic in-vivo calibration • Incorporate a 7 Fr.
