Full Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Skytron c/o United Medical Products, Inc., 4453 William Penn Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15668, to purchase the following items and services off their VA FSS Contract#V797P-4098b, for the following reasons: Items being purchases: (Estimated Cost $46,716.64) Skytron 3600B Ultraslide battery/Line Powered Electro-Hydralic Table with removeable leg and back sections. Skytron 2" 3PC Pad Set 3502B, 3501C, 3600B Welded Seam (Item# 1-011-06-2) Skytron Lightweight standard armboard (item# 2-010-07) Skytron 2" pad for radiolucent armboards (2-010-02-2P) Table initialization services (upcrating, set-up, function testing, with maintenance manuals It is essential to the Government's needs that it purchase the Skytron 3600B Ultraslide electro-hydraulic table and other parts and services listed above, since this equipment has to be the same manufacturer make and model used by the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, since per SimLEARN and current research, the use of matching clinical equipment in a simulation center increases the sense of realism and enhances learning. United Medical Products, Inc. is the sole exclusive seller of this Skytron equipment in Western Pennsylvania. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest; accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 5/7/2012 COB. Responses should be sent to contact@example.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
