SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION ABOUT PRICING, DELIVERY, THE MARKET, AND CAPABILITIES IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI FOR PLANNING PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. This is a Sources Sought Notice / RFI only. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice / RFI is to gain information about potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 339113 (size standard of 1,000 Employees). Responses to this Sources Sought Notice / RFI will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought Notice / RFI, further RFIs and/or a solicitation or other announcements may be published. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources capable of providing Surgical Tables.
Contract Title: Surgical Tables
Scope: This is a request to purchase two (2) MAX5 Surgical Tables for the Pain Clinic/Anesthesia Department at Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Background: VA Albuquerque Healthcare System Pain Clinic/Anesthesia services require a procurement of Two (2) each of surgical tables equivalent to MAX5 Surgical Tables System that is necessary to meet patient safety & clinical requirements. Old surgical tables have reached lifetime repair cap per Biomed and are no longer eligible for repairs. The contractor shall furnish and deliver two (2) new surgical tables equivalent to MAX5 surgical tables that meet or exceed the specified functional and performance requirements. New surgical tables must be compatible with existing electrical infrastructure and safety standards.

Deliverables:

NOTE: Potential quoters must be aware that the items being acquired are procured as Brand Name or Equal. For those items that are or equal , a description of the salient characteristics is outlined below. It is quoter s responsibility to demonstrate its quote meeting the salient physical and functional characteristics included in this solicitation. If the quote does NOT demonstrate how equal to meets the functional/salient characteristic, the offer will be considered non-responsive. The interested parties bear full responsibility to ensure their submission demonstrates to the government that they can satisfy the requirement by providing the brand name or equal to the supplies being requested.
VAAR 852.212-71 Gray Market and Counterfeit Items clause applies on this acquisition. No remanufacturers or gray market items will be acceptable. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM signed. The letter must either state specific product(s) quoted or that the quoter is an authorized distributor for all the manufacturer s products. This letter must be on the manufacturer s letterhead and contains the signature of an authorized official for the manufacturer. If the interested contractor fails to provide a signed letter from the OEM (unless the contractor is the OEM), the contractor s response will be deemed non responsive and will not be considered for award.
Functional/Salient Characteristics: The new surgical tables must meet or exceed the following minimum technical/salient requirements:
Capacity: A minimum weight capacity of 500 lbs. regardless of table positioning. Dimensions: Tabletop length must be a minimum of 80 inches; width a minimum of 24 inches. Travel (Motorized): Surgical table must support a minimum of 10 inches of Longitudinal travel and a minimum of 10 inches of Lateral travel. Must have tilt options through motorized height lift, lateral tilt, and Trendelenburg/reverse Trendelenburg tilt. Each surgical table must come with both a Remote Hand Control and a Multi-function Foot Pedal. Must have an integrated Emergency Stop switch and manual overrides. Must have a minimum of four 5 heavy duty locking casters with 360° full swivel capability. Power must meet: Standard 120V medical-grade power cord. Radiolucency: Must allow medical staff to get optimized C-arm images with minimal attenuation. Each surgical table must come with modular side rails specifically for mounting accessories. Each surgical table must have a minimum of two (2) articulating armboards that lock securely into the module side rails. Dual-sided Lead Max Table Drape: must be a minimum of 48 x36 with a minimum of 0.5mm Pb equivalent for scatter radiation protection. All items must be new/not refurbished.
