Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. Canon Medical will provide equipment to replace already existing equipment. The Canon Medical Systems USA equipment is proprietary and may only be purchased through Canon or from one of its authorized distributors. The place of performance is for the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital located at 800 Hospital Dr., Columbia, MO,65201 The NAICS code is 334510 Imaging Equipment and Supplies: Medical, Dental, Veterinary with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The solicitation number is 36C25520Q0568. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract for equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT July 15 2020 at 15:00 PM CST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required products. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement, Notice of Intent. If after July 15, 2020 no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with the Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc.
