The Department of Veterans Affairs, through Network Contracting Office 23, is conducting a sources sought action to identify capable vendors for the procurement of six dialysis patient recliners and associated accessories at the Fort Meade VA Medical Center. The requirement is for five Model 65P Ascent Power Recliners and one Model 66P Power XL Recliner, each with specific features including side tables, 4-inch casters, handles, steps, and heat and massage functionality, all designated by VA product codes. The acquisition is classified under NAICS code 339113 for surgical appliance and supplies manufacturing, with a size standard of 800 employees, and no set-aside is being used. Respondents must demonstrate their ability to supply these products as brand name or equal to the specified Ascent models, provide manufacturer authorization documents, and complete the Buy American Certificate under FAR 52.225-2(b), identifying the country of origin for each item. The solicitation requires detailed capability statements, specifications, subcontracting plans for small businesses, and information on whether the supplies are available through existing government contracts. Delivery must occur between July 31 and September 30, 2026, under FOB Destination terms, with strict coordination required through the VA Logistics POCs before any shipment. Trucks are prohibited from remaining at the loading dock and must be unloaded immediately; waste removal must occur through the same dock, as no dumpsters are available.
