6550--Cepheid GeneXpert Infinity Molecular Reagents IDIQ

The Government intends to award a sole source, fixed-priced, single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract exclusively to Cepheid for supplying reagents used in infectious disease testing. These tests cover a wide range of microorganisms including MRSA, C. difficile toxin, CRE, CT/NG, Group A Streptococcus, SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B, RSV, and vaginal infections. The tests are to be performed using the Cepheid GeneXpert Infinity platform, which is already owned by the facility. This procurement is justified under specific regulatory authorities because only Cepheid is believed to be the sole capable and authorized provider of these specialized reagents necessary to meet the Government’s requirements.
