Full Description

1. This notice will serve as notification of a Sole Source solicitation for the following: Operational Contracting, US Air Force Academy intends to award a Sole Source Purchase Order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to First Ten Angstroms, Inc. 465 Dinwiddie St, Portsmouth, VA 23704, for their FTA 200 Model Interface Tension & Contact Angle Analyzer. This request is issued for the USAF Academy Department of Chemistry. First Ten Angstroms, Inc. is the only known source that meets the USAFA requirements. This will be a firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. The period of performance is 8 March 2006 thru 7 April 2006. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. 2. This procurement is for the acquisition of a sole source commercial item using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. 3. FAR provisions 52.212-3-Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items and 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items apply. In addition, the clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. Additional FAR clauses cited in the clause applicable to this acquisition are: (b) 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, and 31. DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
