This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. At this time, no formal solicitation document exists. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to these sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The Charles George VA Medical Center, 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805 and W.G. (Bill) Hefner Salisbury VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144, are seeking potential sources capable of providing Blood and Blood Products routinely, as soon as possible, and STAT as requested. Vendor must provide Blood and Blood products to a level 1a and 1b VA Medical Center  Vendor may also serve as a reference lab, working up specimens that are beyond the scope of the Medical Center Supplies must be FDA approved At least three (3) routine scheduled delivery of blood products per week and the ability to order additional STAT blood products 24/7 in case of emergent situations Responses to this source sought notice should include the following: name and address of company, business size (large or small): identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories-8(a), HUBZone, Services Disabled Veteran-Owned/Veteran-Owned Small Business; provide a brief description of qualifications and any other pertinent information which demonstrates the ability to meet the above requirement.
