70--Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Vicon Motions Systems, Inc. for a Premier Support Annual Service Agreement with multiple option years for existing U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition (USAARL) owned Vicon equipment. USAARL has a requirement for a Premier Support Annual Service Agreement with multiple option years for existing U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition (USAARL) owned Vicon equipment. The Service Agreement will cover the following equipment and software owned by USAARL: Vicon MX cameras, Vicon MX Giganet Lab, Vicon Giganet Lab BNC Interface Unit, Vicon Nexus, Vicon BodyBuilder, Vicon Polygon, Vicon Plug-in Toolkit, and Vicon PECS Control. The annual service agreement will provide equipment warranty, software upgrades, and other training sessions as required. Vicon does not support distributors, subcontractors, or outsourced annual maintenance agreements. Vicon is the only source authorized source for maintenance agreements on Vicon equipment and software. This notice of intent is for information purposes only, therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement. All sources eligible to provide this service must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly be able to provide services outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within 15 days, 27 November 2013 1200 EST, after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable supplies and services are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these services through a sole-source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
