The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is organizing a Vendor Day event focused on the upcoming Procurement of Computer Hardware and Software-3 (PCHS-3) acquisition. This event aims to bring together interested vendors, particularly Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, to provide information about the procurement, facilitate networking, and explore teaming, joint ventures, and subcontracting opportunities. Attendance is limited to two representatives per firm, and firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration to participate. The Vendor Day will take place on June 29, 2005, at the Jefferson Auditorium located at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC, and will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Due to limited parking, vendors are encouraged to use public transportation. During the session, participants will hear from the Contracting Officer and senior officials about the scope of the PCHS-3 acquisition, which includes IT products and services such as networks, security, healthcare automation, software, e-business, wireless technology, and office automation. The event will also serve as a platform for vendors to submit questions in writing, with answers posted on the VA website. The VA highlights that this announcement is not a solicitation or contract and that all associated costs for attendees are their responsibility. The actual solicitation for the procurement is expected around November 3, 2005. Vendors interested in attending must register in advance by providing business and attendee details and should be prepared for security screening upon entry.
