Full Description

The U.S. Census Bureau (USCB), intends to enter into a sole source simplified acquisition with InfoUSA, for a software license which will allow the USCB to continue to use the current InfoUSA business database that is already in place at the USCB, for the period April 1, 2005 through June 30, 2005. The provisions of this license are as follows: The InfoUSA information will be used in the Statistical Administrative Records System (STARS) 2001 and 2004 to identify commercial addresses in other administrative record files consistent with the use of the InfoUSA information in STARS 2000. The license extension will cover coding of industry and occupation (I&O) and place of work (POW) in the American Community Survey.It is the USCB's belief that only InfoUSA can satisfy this requirement. This is not a request for competitive proposals, however, responses received within 15 days from the posting of this notice will be reviewed and evaluated. Interested companies having the capability to provide the above described services should submit, in writing, their capability statement with cost information to contact@example.gov or fax to +1 (555) 000-0000 within 15 days of this notice. No telephone calls will be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the USCB. If no responses are received, a sole source contract with InfoUSA for a period of three months will be pursued without further notice.
