NASA/LaRC has a requirement for a SmartEye Pro Oculometer System.NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Smart Eye AB. The SmartEye system iscurrently being used by researchers under a previous NASA Research Agreement. Theadditional equipment and software is required to add to the existing SmartEye Oculometersystem. It would take substantial duplication of resources and time for another sourcetoprovide similar equipment, and this additional expense is not expected to berecoveredthrough competition.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:30 p.m. local timeon 11/18/2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
