70 -- Sole Source Notice - Self-Care Plus Warranty

SOLE SOURCE NOTICE: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source (Silicon Graphics Federal Inc.), under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), pursuit to Federal Acquisition Regulation Part.6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 2 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Sole Source is based upon this vendor being the only manufacturer/vendor able to satisfy this requirement. Requirement: Self-Care Plus warranty covering two Silicon Graphics Federal, Inc. (SGI) Origin 3400 servers, two Origin 350 servers, 63 workstations, one fiber channel RAID, two TP9100 RAIDS, and associated high speed switches comprising the 1 SPCS Command Analysis and Verification of Ephemeredes Network (CAVENET) Mission Support System. Warranty to include hardware, software, and technical support for equipment.
