Full Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton, VA 23367, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for Software Maintenance and Support of an existing Aria Oncology Information System located in the Richmond VA Medical Center in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)(B) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these highly specialized services are available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract by 20 Mar 2017 to Varian Medical Systems Inc., 3100 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, CA, 94304-1030; Cage Code 0MAZ9. The acquisition is for a Base plus 4 Option Years for Maintenance and Support of an existing Varian Aria System. The Richmond VAMC is in need of a support contract consisting of upgrades, maintenance releases, periodic software maintenance inspections, incidental onsite support and help desk support to ensure the serviceability of their Aria Oncology Information System manufactured by Varian. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
