76 -- Subscription Renewal

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to American Association for the Advancement of Science, Washington, DC. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing a renewal subscription for a Multi-Institutional Site Wide Online Access for Science Online. American Association for the Advancement of Science Inc is the publisher of this journal, already subscribed to by the CDC Information Center Library, and provides the only source for a multi-institutional site wide license. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 511120. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide a multi-institutional wide site access license for the Science Online journal need to submit written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
