Full Description

This is a notice of intent of the Office of Information, Cleveland Business Center, Cleveland, Ohio to execute a sole source procurement with First Databank, Inc., 1111 Bayhill Dr. Suite 350, San Bruno, CA 94066-3043, for a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Tool to support the prototype Drug Database Software. This procurement is being conducted under authority FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a Single Source. The government believes that only one source can provide the services that will satisfy the agency requirements. The government is currently in the second option year of contract V776P-0689 with First Databank for prototype Drug Database Software. Pharmacy Data Management requires that customization functionality to be added to the database. In support of this functionality, development of a GUI that allows interaction with the First Databank database is required. The proprietary nature of the software and the time for acclimatization to the framework if awarded outside First Databank creates a need to procure services from First Databank. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by 12 PM EST, August 17, 2007. This is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. All inquiries must be submitted in writing; telephone inquiries will not be accepted, nor responses received after 12 PM EST, August 17, 2007.
