Agency: Department of the Army Office: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Location: USACE District, Portland NAICS Code: 811310 Solicitation Number: W66QKZ50559527 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 quote mark Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions quote mark US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to negotiate/award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed Price contract with Hagler Systems Inc. The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase Hub plates and assorted parts. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 811310. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 500 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quote to the contracting officer before the notice end date. If no affirmative written responses are received by 08:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time on 15 Oct 2015 an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
