Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAA, AMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4 and (FAA, AMS) Federal Prison Industries, (FPI) policy 3.2.1.3.12, to inform industry on the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via a single source procedures. The FAA, William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to award a single source contract to UNICOR. The furniture is currently being used by the FAA to support their requirements and therefore unable to obtain through any other known source. UNICOR brings the following essential data experience: -UNICOR products are compatible and offer interchangeability with existing standardized furniture components in use at the WJHTC. -Furniture components from another source would not afford ability to integrate, repair, and reconfigure the office space in a cost effective and efficient manner. A full and open competition is not available for this procurement. If you're firm does not agree with the single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above services, the FAA will evaluate this accordingly.
