A--CONSTELLATION PROGRAM LUNAR LANDER PROJECT OFFICE

This notice is issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston Texas, to provide information regarding the newly established Constellation Lunar Lander Project Office. The Project Office, which is located at JSC, is currently being staffed-up with personnel from across the Agency. The Project Office plans to develop a preliminary government design and, following an independent, agency-wide review, create draft vehicle design requirements. At that point, the Project Office will actively seek comments and input from industry. The Project Office will publish plans, status, and other project-related information on the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) website http://www.exploration.nasa.gov/ with a goal of achieving the widest possible dissemination of this information. Such sharing of project-related data should help to minimize potential organizational conflicts of interest on any future procurements. No response to this notice is required. This notice is intended only to provide information and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the NASA Johnson Space Center will take procurement action in this matter. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is industry's responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.
