A--Intent to Announce Government/Industry Collaboration Event

The Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC) is partnering with the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) to host a 4-day, collaborative Government / Industry Integrated Product Team working group event to help determine what is within the realm of the feasible for each of the components in the Common Light Autonomous Robotic Kit (CLARK) concept. The event is being conducted under the auspices of a Section 845 Other Transaction Agreement that the Government has with NAMC to accelerate the advancement of prototype robotics and ground vehicle technology, including facilitating collaborative events such as this. To be conducted in the Ft. Eustis, VA area, the working group participants will organize into six subdivided teams to focus on each of the key CLARK components (e.g. Micro-Unmanned Ground Vehicles, Micro and Nano-Unmanned Aerial Systems, Unattended Sensor, Power, Communications and Data). The end state for this initial session is to, early in the requirements process, provide industry with greater visibility and granularity into the Department of Defense's (DoD) operational needs for small robotics and to provide DoD with a better understanding of the state of the technology and how industry can address key government needs.
