Full Description

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC-LANT), Charleston, SC intends to increase the ceiling of contract N65236-12-C-3886 with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) by $500,000 and extend the final completion date by 8 months (to 30 Aug 2015). This contract supports the DARPA Robotics Challenge program, which develops robotic technology for disaster response operations. The ceiling increase and extension will allow for more stringent requirements and dates associated with the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) Finals as well as provide for robotic hardware maintenance, repair, modification, and upgrades and software upgrades. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the work required would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract ceiling increase based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
