The Department of Veterans Affairs, Gainesville VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-5, with their academic affiliate, the University of Florida for research services. The Advanced Platform Technology Center was formed as a collaboration between LSCVAMC and CWRU The overall objective of this request is to contract for RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) and Nextgen Library related services (including data analysis services) for the VA-funded study titled Locomotor Training with Anabolic Adjuvants for Musculoskeletal Recovery after SCI. The VA Gainesville academic affiliate ,University of Florida s Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (ICBR) Gene Expression & Genotyping Core Laboratory has the necessary expertise to completing all these highly technical scientific procedures on schedule. This is a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Monday, May20th, 4:00, EST.
