Full Description

This special notice is in accordance with FAR 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Action. The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD), will be conducting this acquisition on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Department of Homeland Security has a requirement to procure three (3) Multi-Energy Portal Systems to meet an immediate operational need to inspect cargo and conveyances for illegal contraband with a system that allows driver/passenger occupied vehicles to be driven through the system and scan with a large scale non-intrusive inspection system. The purpose of this notice is to announce AQD¿s intent to award on a sole source basis to three companies with specific system capabilities which meet the governments requirement in accordance with the authority under FAR 6.302-1.
