The U.S. Department of Education plans to extend the existing contract with Optimal Solutions Group LLC for an additional two-month period, from February 4, 2008, to April 3, 2008. This no-cost extension is necessary to complete outstanding video production services related to the IES 2007 Randomized Control Trials Training Institute, including editing, captioning, web encoding, and preparation of electronic files for web posting. Additionally, the extension will support the oversight of environmental design installations within the Institute of Education Sciences office space. The original contract expired on February 3, 2008, before these key tasks were finished, prompting the need for this continuation without added costs, primarily due to delays within the government. The contract extension reflects the agency’s commitment to completing the ongoing projects and ensuring continuity of administrative and logistical support services. The solicitation was officially posted on February 7, 2008, with a closing date for submissions on February 21, 2008. The contract falls under the NAICS code 611710, related to educational services, and is managed by the Contracts and Acquisitions Management office within the Department of Education, located in Washington, DC.
