NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center is seeking teaming partners to contribute to the development of the Extra-Solar Planet Imaging Coronagraph (EPIC) mission concept. This initiative aims to design the EPIC spacecraft and develop one or more of its three integrated systems: the Telescope System, the Active Optical System, and the Instrument System. The mission's primary scientific goal is to search for gas giant planets around stars within 35 parsecs of the Sun, studying the planets' occurrence rates, orbital dynamics, and atmospheric compositions. Proposers may partner to provide any single element, a subset, or all elements of the mission. During the initial Step 1 phase of this Discovery proposal cycle, no funds will be exchanged among teaming partners, and limited funding will be available for Phase A. Should EPIC proceed beyond Phase A, funding will be allocated based on the approved budget. All interested parties must submit an electronic PDF proposal by January 16, 2004, and are responsible for monitoring the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities website for the Partnership Opportunity Document and any amendments. The solicitation clarifies that this request does not guarantee hardware development selection or funding. Queries can be directed to designated NASA representatives, with all responses shared broadly among proposers to maintain transparency.

EPIC will investigate the occurrence of these planets as well as the orbits of these planets and the composition of their atmospheres. Proposers may propose a partnership to provide for one element of the mission such as the spacecraft bus, Telescope System, Active Optical System or Instrument System. Alternatively the offeror may propose to provide for all elements of the mission or a subset of these elements (e.g., the spacecraft bus and the instrument.) There will be no exchange of funds between the teaming partners for the Step 1 phase of this Discovery proposal cycle and limited funding will be available for Phase A. If EPIC is selected after Phase A the partner(s) will be funded according to the budget developed in the Phase A. Questions about this POD should be directed to Hsiao Smith, the Project Formulation Manager for EPIC or Robin Mauk, the Mission Systems Engineer. All replies will be shared among all proposers. (Hsiao Smith may be contacted by phone at +1 (555) 000-0000 or by email: Hsiao Smith @nasa.gov; Robin Mauk may be contacted by phone at +1 (555) 000-0000 or by email: contact@example.gov) All Partnership Opportunity Document respondents should provide an electronic PDF document by 12 pm EST (noon) on January 16, 2004. The Partnership Opportunity Document does not represent a guarantee of selection for hardware development. GSFC does not currently have a requirement for this subsystem or funds to support its development. When responding to this notice, please reference this document. This solicitation/synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, nor will the government pay for the information solicited. An ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet Note "B". Enabling Technology for Future Missions
Solicitation # 9F063-20260085
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is soliciting proposals under the Space Technology Development Program (STDP) to develop and advance one to three priority technologies intended to reduce technical uncertainties for future Canadian space missions. This fixed-price procurement focuses on increasing Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) in accordance with CSA-ST-GDL-0001 Revision A guidelines. The identified priority technologies include a lightweight athermal reflecting telescope for CubeSats, readout electronics for large mosaic focal plane arrays, and technologies for the Ground Snow Mass Mission, with maximum funding per contract ranging from 1 million to 2 million Canadian dollars. The project is expected to span 16 months, structured around five key milestones: a kick-off meeting, preliminary design review, detailed design review and work authorization meeting, test readiness review, and a final review meeting. Selection is based on the highest combined rating of technical merit (60%) and price (40%), with additional points available for Indigenous considerations. The contract requires strict adherence to security protocols, including Protected B and Reliability Status, and mandates the use of the Information Sharing with External Partners portal for sensitive data transfers. Performance is subject to rigorous inspection and acceptance processes for both hardware and software, including a 90-day warranty period for custom software.

Expression of interest: Small-satellite missions sandpit
Solicitation # 206083
UK Research and Innovation is seeking expressions of interest for a small-satellite missions sandpit designed to bring together approximately 30 researchers and innovators from diverse disciplines. The goal is to co-develop ambitious, challenge-led small-satellite mission concepts focusing on innovative sensors, data streams, and cross-sector enabling technologies to enhance sovereign capability, address national security and societal challenges, and support economic growth. The activity consists of six sessions held between January 26 and February 11, 2027, utilizing a combination of online sessions and a two-day residential event. Total program funding is listed at 1,870,000, with the objective of developing concepts for pump-priming research grants in 2027/2028. Selection of participants is based on core assessment questions focusing on skills and potential contributions rather than track record, with additional consideration given to geographic diversity across all UK regions. Applicants must apply through an Expression of Interest stage, and invited applicants will use the Resume for Research and Innovation format. Mandatory attendance at all sessions is required, with travel and subsistence costs reimbursed and accommodation provided for overnight stays. The program is managed by the UKRI Space Programme team, with the response deadline for the solicitation set for November 25, 2026.

Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library
Solicitation # 80JSC025_CLDC_TECH_LIBRARY
The Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library, managed by the NASA Johnson Space Center, serves as a centralized repository of technical standards, plans, and guidelines for potential offerors. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support the development of private LEO space destinations and supporting systems as NASA prepares for the retirement of the International Space Station. The library provides a series of data drops containing both controlled and uncontrolled technical data, including standards for docking systems, payload interfaces, and crew health operations. It also outlines specific NASA center capabilities and high-value engineering products available to industry partners to reduce technical and schedule risks. It is important to note that this activity is a special notice and does not constitute a Request for Proposals, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation. No proposals are to be submitted in response to this notice, and it does not represent a commitment by the government to enter into a contract. Access to export-controlled content requires the submission of a specific request form and compliance with U.S. export regulations, including the implementation of Technology Transfer Control Plans and Non-Disclosure Agreements for foreign nationals. The library is intended to keep industry updated on current NASA technical standards in anticipation of future FAR-based acquisitions.
