Full Description

The Army is seeking information regarding commercially available off-the-shelf (COTS) products that administer anesthesia in a combat casualty care environment. Product should be small, lightweight, easy to use and maintain, and does not require compressed gases for operation. The technology also needs to be able to withstand demanding environmental conditions that may be experienced during field use, such as extremes of temperature (storage and operational), shock, vibration, etc. Conventional and drawover anesthesia machines are no longer procurable. Equipment must comply with certain environmental testing sections of MIL-STD 810F and be cleared and approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Please see the attached document for additional details on the item needed and the information requested. Your response should be received by 17-Aug-09. No additional information is available. No contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI. The Government will not pay for responses to this RFI.
