Frederick County, Maryland (hereinafter called the "County") is soliciting from all contractors who wish to participate in snow and ice removal services for the Division of Public Works (DPW), Department of Highway Operations (DHO). The DPW DHO has established snow routes, some of which shall be assigned to a designated contractor who has submitted interest at the fixed fee schedule for the payment of contractors participating in snow and ice removal. All contractors will be compensated at the same rate for similar equipment on established snow routes. In addition to the equipment referenced in section 8.7, each contractor may also list extra equipment as specified on the Price Proposal lines 5-8. For these items only, the Contractor shall include the hourly rate to include the equipment, operator, fuel, etc. The County will then have the option to accept or decline to add this equipment to the contract. Note the hourly rate for items 5-8 may vary from Contractor to Contractor.
