The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to build geo-functions into a free, already-existing, mobile app that has demonstrated uptake by Indigenous northerners documenting, posting and sharing knowledge of the land. The work will leverage and build on the existing SIKU frameworks and technological advancements already developed and implemented by the Arctic Eider Society through modifications to incorporate geoscience profiles and develop a geo observation "Post" tool. These modifications will expand this free, user-friendly web and mobile platform to allow non-specialists an opportunity to recognize, document and share observations of geoscience elements,
