Air Unit- San Diego/Pogo Row Replacing Epoxy flooring in Hangar

The current concrete epoxy floor paint and joint sealer in the AMO Air Unit-Brown Field Hangar Facility have surpassed its life of approximately 25 years. The epoxy paint is worn, chipped and is a potential trip hazard to aircraft mechanics, employees, and visitors. Also, the rubber joint sealer that seals the seams for concrete floor square partitions and around the perimeter of the floor drain containment has worn and peeled throughout the entire hangar flooring. Without these repairs, the concrete could suffer significant damage to the existing hangar floors. It is time to remove and replace approximately 8,777 square feet (SF) of epoxy paint in hangar flooring, supply room, and sheet metal shop/paint booth areas. The rubber joint sealer of approximately 3,412 LF within all areas of the concrete flooring needs removal and replacement of a high grade of rubber sealant. In addition, the safety strip on concrete hangar floors, approximately 500 LF in red, will need to be removed and reapplied with new red reflective safety paint for safety warning. On the hangar floor, there are 22 brass connection grounding cap & rod that aircraft attach their ground wire for aircraft. Each of the 22 Brase connection grounding cap & rod needs to be repainted with same colors what is on concrete. In addition, Brase connections cap and rod are to be cleaned of oils and dirt with a Brase cleaners. Concrete hangar flooring will need to go through extensive grinding to remove the existing painted floors and will need to have moisture barriers applied to prevent underground moisture from seeping in and damaging the new flooring. The new concrete high industrial paint is to have silica anti-skid product applied to prevent slippage. Once applied, floors are to be covered with a high industrial glossy finish to give a mirror like finish. Once floor is painted, CBP will provide AMO LOGO to be installed in the center of the concrete hangar floors. The price quote shall include all costs associated with tasks such as labor, parts, shipping, materials, travel, equipment, and any other costs associated with completing the project according to the Statement of Work (SOW) requirements. No additional charges for the completion of the work specified in this contract.
