Airfield, Landside & Airport-Owned Property Landscaping Services

The Columbus Airport Commission is soliciting fixed-price proposals for comprehensive mowing, vegetation management, trimming, and landscaping services for approximately 300 acres of airfield, landside, and airport-owned properties in Georgia. The contract spans a two-year base term from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028, with an optional third year. The scope of work is detailed in Exhibit A and includes a variety of maintenance levels, ranging from weekly clean-cuts to quarterly rough cuts, as well as monthly spraying and string trimming of asphalt and runways. The selected contractor must maintain vegetation at a target maximum height of four inches and ensure all pavements and navigational equipment remain clear of debris. Award selection is based on best value rather than price alone, utilizing a scoring system that evaluates key personnel qualifications, relevant experience, and a proposed management plan alongside the cost. Contractors must adhere to strict operational safety and security standards, including FAA Part 139 and TSA requirements, and obtain SIDA badging and ATCT clearance for movement-area access. Work hours are generally restricted to between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Insurance requirements include a minimum of 2,000,000 dollars for bodily/personal injury and 1,000,000 dollars for property damage. Proposals must be submitted by November 30, 2026, and include detailed monthly pricing by zone.
