Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J Peters VA, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Diagenode, Inc. for DNA extraction from blood specimens - ultra-high through-put Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and microarray platforms for processing of DNA specimens on a genome scale using the Illumina Inc. technology. Diagenode, Inc. has performed ongoing genomic assays for this study and it is critical to have the same vendor perform these experiments on the additional samples to avoid batch effects that can aberrantly impact downstream results and data interpretation. In order to maintain research integrity and to reduce experimental variability in combining data from multiple batches/trails with the fragile nature of the samples, no other vendors can be considered. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source who can provide an equivalent service with these features described above may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than June 28th, 7AM, EST. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
