Texas A&M AgriLife Research is soliciting bids for the procurement of specialized animal housing equipment, specifically one aluminum tube large swine/calf transport unit and nine aluminum two-compartment mini pig metabolism cages. This is a best-value procurement, meaning the award will not necessarily go to the lowest bidder but will be determined by a trade-off analysis considering purchase price, vendor reputation, product quality, delivery time, warranty coverage, and the vendor's past relationship with the agency. Bidders must provide unit pricing for each item, estimated delivery timelines, and comprehensive warranty information. While specific brand names may be mentioned, they are descriptive, and exact equivalents will be considered if accompanied by full technical specifications and descriptive literature. The solicitation closes on October 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM CDT, with a deadline for questions on October 21, 2025. All goods must be shipped Delivered Duty Paid (D.D.P.) to College Station, Texas. Payment terms are Net 30 days following the receipt and acceptance of the items or a correct invoice. Bidders are required to comply with State of Texas laws and must disclose any involvement of former state executive officers or the applicability of export controls. The contract is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and is managed by buyer Tucker Hall.
