This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. This is not a solicitation announcement. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Submission of any information in response to this request is purely voluntary; the Government will not pay for any costs incurred nor is it obligated to respond.



The purpose of this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of commercially available services that may be of interest to the United States Coast Guard (USCG) as described in this notice. Responses will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy, including whether a set-aside is appropriate.



Summary of Services:


The USCG has a requirement for Refuse and Recycling Collection and Disposal Services. The Contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to collect and dispose of solid waste as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The services shall be performed at USCG Base Cape Cod (BCC), Buzzards Bay, MA 02542 and USCG owned houses in Harwich, MA 02645. BCC campus is 3,500 acres consisting of one hundred forty-four (144) single and multifamily housing units, one hundred (100) homes are occupied and require service. BCC has thirty-nine (39) buildings. BCC also manages seven (7) single family homes located on Driftwood Circle in Harwich, MA. All solid waste collected in the performance of this requirement shall be disposed of at a certified off-site commercial facility, which complies with all applicable federal and state statutes and regulations.
