Bear Creek Diversion Debris Removal (Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. CAL-62386-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number CAL-62386-R2 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. This agreement authorizes the Calaveras County Water District, represented by Damon Wyckoff, to perform the Bear Creek Diversion Debris Removal project located at 100 Robbinville Drive, West Point, California. The project is classified under NAICS code 237990 and has been granted a Notice of Exemption based on Categorical Exemption Classes 1 and 4 for the repair and maintenance of existing structures and minor land alteration. The scope of work is limited to the removal of approximately 400 cubic yards of sediment and debris, including tree stumps, snags, and branches, from the area upstream of the diversion intake on Bear Creek. To facilitate these activities, the permittee is required to install a small temporary coffer dam and associated piping to divert water flows if present during the project. Administrative oversight is provided by Hailey Donaldson, an Environmental Scientist with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
