This contract solicitation from the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) seeks bids for big bus parts, with eligibility limited to original equipment manufacturers, authorized dealers, approved resellers, subcontractors, or agents authorized by the OEM. Bidders must provide their best price inclusive of all freight and delivery costs, along with warranty terms and lead times. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with available inventory, though the award may be split among bidders for overall benefit. Warranty terms are a significant factor in the evaluation, and all bidders must clearly state the manufacturer’s name, warranty details, and confirm warranty start dates. Brand names and model numbers are used to identify standards, and substitutions require prior OCTA approval through a formal approved equal process, with bidders responsible for demonstrating equivalency. Selected bidders must comply with all warranty obligations, including providing a pass-through genuine new parts manufacturer warranty, and are subject to verification of dealership or distributorship status. Non-compliance with warranty requirements may lead to merchandise returns at the bidder’s expense. After the award, vendors will receive purchase orders via email and must confirm receipt within 24 hours. They are also required to meet guaranteed delivery dates as specified in the order, with failure potentially resulting in cancellation and re-procurement charges. The solicitation was posted on May 26, 2026, with a response deadline on May 28, 2026, and is administered by the F&A Contracts Administration and Materials Management office in Orange, California.
