Burns Harbor Approach Channel Dredging, Burns Harbor, IN (Chicago District Project) This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested / potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project, entitled "Burns Harbor Approach Channel Dredging, Burns Harbor, IN (Chicago District Project)" PROJECT INFORMATION: The contractor will be required to remove up to 90,000 Cubic Yards (CY) of sediment by mechanical dredging, at the Burns Harbor approach channel and dispose of the dredged sediment near shore at Ogden Dunes. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED TO HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESSES. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry System Code (NAISCS) 237990, identifying a small business size standard in dollars of $27.5M. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price construction contract from this acquisition. The magnitude of cost for construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) Package will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Acrobat Reader.
