Full Description
Sealed bids will be received from Bidders by the Blue Valley Recreation Commission, until 2:00 o'clock p.m., Central Daylight Savings Time on September 8th, 2026, at the 2nd floor office of the Blue Valley Recreation Commission Sports Complex, 9701 W. 137th Street, Overland Park, Kansas at the Main Complex. The improvements include demolition, concrete sidewalk, grading, concrete retaining walls, and stormwater drainage.
All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Blue Valley Recreation Commission, Attn: Jim Hook. At the above stated time and place, all bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the designated closing time will be returned unopened.
Each bid shall be made on a printed bid form included with a bound volume of Contract Documents consisting of the Plans, Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, Bid Forms, Bond Forms, Contracts, etc.
Contractors desiring Plans and Contract Documents for their use in preparing bids may obtain them from Drexel Technologies Plan Room at https://planroom.drexeltech.com/View/Default.aspx.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the Blue Valley Recreation Commission, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid which may be retained by the Blue Valley Recreation Commission until a Contract for the project shall have been awarded and executed with the successful Bidder.
The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder, but the Blue Valley Recreation Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in bids, or to take bids under advisement.
Bidders are advised that the Agreement contains a stipulated completion date.
