The Department of Veterans Affairs, Illiana Health Care System (HCS), located in Danville, Illinois is seeking the services of a qualified Architectural Engineering (A/E) firm with specialized experience in design through construction period services for the addition of a new Optometry area at the Decatur Illinois CBOC. (Project #550-08-110) The selected A/E firm shall provide all technical services including architectural, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering as may be required for design. Design shall include all phasing and infection control methods required during construction. The project intent is to add a new addition at a minimum of 900 s.f. The structure shall be connected to the existing building and the new space shall include square footage capable of housing two (2) examination rooms, reception/waiting area, and a doctor's office. All work shall meet ADA, National Electric Code requirements, and the VHA Eyecare Handbook criteria. To prepare 100% working drawings and contract documents use VA Master Specifications (http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard/spec_idx.asp ) to complete the work specified above. The estimated construction range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Preliminary submission shall be due in 30 calendar days from notice to proceed; design reviews will be due at 30%, 60% and 95%.
