DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to New Orleans Small Business Engineering , LLP, A Joint Venture of Metairie, LA for the Continuation of Engineering During Construction and Geotechnical Monitoring Services for Hurricane Protection System at West Bank Non-Federal Levee NOV-NF-W-04a Levee and Floodwalls in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. New Orleans Small Business Engineering, LLP is the designer of record for this project and has exclusive knowledge of the design of the levee project and experience in the installation and monitoring of the consolidation required for this project. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This will be an Architect Engineer contact using FAR 36. Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide these services in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFQ/RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
