The calibration gas mixture contains Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, and Methane to simulate the mine environment and maintain precise monitoring standards. The contract is identified by solicitation number KS61 and pertains to the procurement of these calibration gases. The work will be performed in Washington, with the Department of Labor overseeing the process. To calibrate the gas monitors used by MSHE, a gas that is a mixture of Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen Dioxide and Methane is used.
