LETTING LOCATION: Contracts Administration Office POSTING DATES: 10/14/2026 and 10/28/2026 CONTRACT DAYS: 1200 CONTRACT EXECUTION DAYS: 10 SPECIAL START DATE: 04/05/2027 ACQUIS./FLEXIBLE START TIME: N/A THE IMPROVEMENTS UNDER THIS CONTRACT CONSIST OF FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION ALONG SR 907 / ALTON ROAD FROM MICHIGAN AVENUE TO 43 STREET IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY. MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING FOR THIS PROJECT AT 10:00 AM EST ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 2026, AT THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, D6 AUDITORIUM, 1000 NW 111 AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA 33172. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CONCERNING THIS MATTER, PLEASE CONTACT ILEEN ZAMORA AT (305) 470-5037. THIS PRE-BID MEETING IS MANDATORY BECAUSE OF THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROJECT. ONLY PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO THE PRE-BID MEETING. THE PROSPECTIVE BIDDER SHALL BE PREQUALIFIED ACCORDING TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FDOT RULE CHAPTER 14-22 AND SECTION 2-1 OF THE 2023 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION. PROPOSALS (BIDDING DOCUMENTS) WILL BE ISSUED ONLY TO THE PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS WHO HAVE ATTENDED THE PRE-BID MEETING AND MET THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS PROJECT. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ORDERING BID DOCUMENTS PRIOR TO THE PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE GIVEN ACCESS TO DOWNLOAD THE BID DOCUMENTS WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE PRE-BID MEETING. THOSE PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ORDERING THE DOCUMENTS AFTER THE PRE-BID MEETING WILL NEED TO CONTACT THE OFFICE ADVERTISING THE PROJECT TO CONFIRM ATTENDANCE AND RECEIVE ACCESS TO DOWNLOAD THE BID DOCUMENTS. PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE AT LEAST TWO WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE FOR OBTAINING BID DOCUMENTS TO ALLOW TIME FOR PROCESSING. For projects in excess of $50 million, in addition to meeting all other qualification requirements of Section 337.14, Florida Statutes, and Rule Chapter 14-22, Florida Administrative Code, any Contractor who is not prequalified and in good standing with the Department as of January 1, 2019, must submit evidence which demonstrates satisfactory completion of at least two projects, each in excess of $15 million, for the Florida Department of Transportation or for any other state department of transportation. Acceptability of the evidence related to the two projects is at the sole discretion of the Department.
