The Maine Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for the seasonal rental of heavy equipment, specifically backhoe/loaders and loaders, for use in Region 2. The contract covers a three-year performance period from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2029. Required equipment includes backhoe/loaders with a weight capacity of 16,000 to 20,000 lbs, featuring an extendable dipperstick with a digging depth up to 18 feet, a wrist action adaptor, and a ditching/clean-up bucket. All machinery must be OSHA compliant and possess a valid State of Maine inspection sticker for the duration of the rental.
