Ceiling Increase and Period of Performance Extension to Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego), Code 24231, Engineering and Technical Services Support to SSC San Diego C4ISR Programs Philadelphia

The contract with Northrop Grumman Defense Mission Systems (NG DMS) under SSC San Diego is being extended through September 30, 2007, with an increase in value of about $4.8 million and an additional 53,000 labor hours. This extension supports ongoing engineering and technical services necessary for the development, integration, installation, and implementation of multiple C4ISR-related programs, including Cruise Missile and Tomahawk Command and Control Systems, Naval Mission Planning, Advanced Technology Implementation, Distributed Common Ground System–Navy, Deepwater initiatives, and various mission planning and intelligence systems. The contract extension ensures uninterrupted work progress and facilitates the delivery of a subsequent follow-on contract anticipated by mid-2007. This continuation allows for sustained support of vital defense programs under the SSC San Diego C4ISR Programs Philadelphia mission, covering a broad spectrum of systems critical to naval command, control, planning, and intelligence functions. It mitigates the risk of operational delays or stoppages and maintains critical technical expertise and capacity needed to advance these sophisticated defense systems. The Department of Defense administration for this contract is coordinated through NIWC Pacific in San Diego, emphasizing the strategic importance of maintaining and enhancing naval warfare capabilities through these integrated technical services.
